The Banff Whisky Experience would be happy to facilitate your private function needs

We can organize a branded or blind tasting for you, specifically focusing on one style and distillery. Or we can curate something based on your individual budget and group preferences.

We have organized small intimate at-home tasting events for groups of 8 or less. And we’ve also executed private workshop/masterclass tasting events for large corporate groups of 50 or more.

The Specifics:

 Once group size and tasting style have been set, we then execute the following:

 - Organize the venue space based on your preferred location

- Select the perfect educator for your budget and specific whisky of choice

- Arrive early, set up all placings, glasses, and screens (if necessary)

With the set-up in place, we then welcome your group to a one+ hour tasting class with an elegant flight of whisky in a beautiful setting.

The Education:

Our speakers are trained to deliver a wealth of knowledge that will elevate your understanding of whisky. They want to share why whisky is the most thoughtful spirit on earth, and won’t rest until they do. Our guests often become a voice for these incredible spirits themselves, going on to share their newfound understanding of whisky with their friends and family.

In the past, we have brought in the country's top brand ambassadors, master distillers and blenders, famous whisky writers, and even a master-cooper from one of the world's most reputable Scotch brands.

However, this is not always necessary. Often a group only requires a regional educator. One that will provide their wealth of knowledge and a less formal atmosphere. And let's be honest, these classes need to be fun before anything else, right? Add sipping the finest whisky in the beautiful Canadian Rockies with our quality education and it’s sure to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

Masterclass Concepts:

We create classes that celebrate both big picture and detailed looks at all of today’s top makers and spirits. From an around the world tasting tour of the most celebrated whisky-producing countries (Canada, the USA, The Netherlands, and Japan — to name a few), to in-depth tours of the most remarkable regions of Scotland (Islay, Speyside, the High and Lowlands, Campbeltown, and the Islands), our classes have you covered.

Yet, perhaps your group wants to explore “a taste of place” workshop that speaks to Western Canadian craft whiskies produced exclusively in British Columbia and Alberta. We can do that too.

Another option is to dive deep into the world of bourbon, from its wild western gunslinging days, prohibition years, through to the bourbon of today. We explore why it's currently the world's most popular whiskey and why it’s spelled with an “E”.
